Each file has a two-sided coating. One side has an abrasive grit of 120, while the other side has 180. The tool is very convenient to use, as the coarser side is dark-colored, and the softer side is light-colored. For a successful manicure, use the coarse side of the file to shape the nail, and the softer side to smooth the nail plate.
